Surprise in Iowa
Tuesday January 20, 2004
And the winner is... In a surprise victory, Senator John Kerry won the Democratic Caucus in Iowa yesterday. John Edwards came in second and Howard Dean, up until last week the front-runner, came in third. Richard Gephardt came in fourth with only 11% of the vote. It is expected he will pull out of the race today. As we get ready for primaries in New Hampshire, South Carolina, Arizona, Delaware, Missouri, New Mexico, North Dakota and Oklahoma it will become clearer who has a shot at winning a seat in the White House. Find out where each of the candidates stand on gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans issues.
