The L Word Premiers

Sunday night I had a group of friends over to watch television history. The first series, by and about lesbians, The L Word premiered on Showtime. The reviews were mixed, but most of my friends were happy to see at least some kind of representation of lesbians on television. The biggest complaint about the first episode was Bette and Tina attempting to get pregnant by asking strangers to donate sperm. Worse, they picked up a stranger and brought him home to sleep with.
