Gay Rights are Human Rights
Monday March 15, 2004
A lesbian life reader let me know about a great organization, the International Gay and Lesbian Association. The ILGA has been around for 25 years and is fighting for the rights of gays and lesbians all over the world. They are at the forefront of a movement to get the United Nations Commission on Human Rights to adopt the Brazilian Resolution that says gay rights are human rights.
If the resolution is approved, it will send a clear signal to the global community that they are NOT right when they discriminate against people on the grounds of their sexual orientation. You can learn more about the Brazilian Resolution here.
