Some days I'm sitting around with my partner and I look over at her and I realize that we are married. When I came out as a lesbian, I never thought the day would come when I would be able to marry the woman I intend to spend the rest of my life with. Even though it's been two months since our wedding day, it still kind of blows my mind that we are actually legally married in our own country. Although we know there's a movement to try and stop gays and lesbians from marrying, it's also true that it's much harder to take rights away once they are granted.
