Mass Will not Marry Out of Staters

After our San Francisco marriage was declared invalid, my partner and I talked about going to Massachusetts to get married. But, it looks like that will not be an option. Massachusetts is enforcing a law from 1913 that says it will not marry a couple from another state if that marriage would not be valid in their home state. Since same-sex marriage is only legal in Massachusetts, same-sex couples will not be allowed to marry there. Yesterday, a judge upheld the 1913 law. Read the full story here.
