Gay Marriage Legal Across Canada

The highest court in Canada ruled yesterday that gay marriage is constitutional and gave the go-ahead to Parliament to begin making steps to legalize gay marriage across the country. Many of Canada's provinces already allow same-sex marriage. This ruling paves the way for gay marriages to be recognized in every territory and province. Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin said he would introduce same-sex marriage legislation early next year.
