Lesbians of the Year 2004

It seems like it's the time of year when magazines and web sites are picking Man of the Year or Woman of the Year. Well, I decided it was time to pick a Lesbian of the Year. It didn't take me long to decide on this year's winner, but I could not pick just one. Lesbians of the Year for 2004 are a couple, Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon. Del and Phyllis made history this year in San Francisco, when the two were the first same-sex couple to be married. Together for more than 50 years, Del and Phyllis, have worked most of their lives for women's and lesbian's rights. Meet Lesbians of the Year: Phyllis Lyon and Del Martin.
