Is Diana Taurasi a Lesbian?

Everyone knows that there are lots of lesbians in women's sports. From the athletes to the strong fan base, lesbians are every where. Yet, when it comes to players, very few athletes have come out of the closet as lesbian or bisexual. It's ironic, that despite the large number of lesbians who play and watch, the world of sports is still such a bastion of homophobia. Diana Taurasi was the number one pick in last year's WNBA draft. The stand-out basketball player certainly made her mark as a star player at the University of Connecticut and now as a member of the Phoenix Mercury. She is an amazing athlete, admired by many. So, why did recent interview make me wonder if Diana Taurasi is a lesbian? And why does it matter?

Just because Diana Taurasi made one comment doesn’t mean she is a lesbian. Diana Taurasi has a very funny sense of humor she was probably just playing around. Diana Taurasi said she wanted someone who was rich and after all the president of the WNBA is kihda rich. Does it even matter if Diana Taurasi is a lesbian, she is the BEST WNBA player I’ve ever seen and I LOVE watching her do her thing.
