How to Cope with a Crisis

Wednesday August 31, 2005
The news coming out of New Orleans and Mississippi is heart breaking. I've already cried several times today just watching the coverage of Katrina on TV. I can't imagine what it must be like to see your home and whole community destroyed. The closest I've ever come is when my parent's house burned down. But I was already moved out by then. How will the people of Louisiana cope? Can life ever go back to normal? How can you support your loved ones when you are trying to keep it together yourself? Although written for heterosexual couples, the About Marriage Guides have some great advice about how to help each other cope with disaster.
