LGBT Domestic Violence

Monday March 6, 2006
Last night on The L Word things were getting a little heated between Jenny and Max. At a party, Max was dancing with Alice, when he saw Jenny dancing with another trans guy. Max became angry, telling Jenny she was "his girl" and she shouldn't be dancing with other guys. Max is beginning to show signs of being an abusive partner. Luckily, so far Jenny has stood up for herself. Domestic violence is a reality in the gay, lesbian, bisexual and trans community as much as it is in the straight world. Did you see yourself at all in Max's behavior? Could you be a perpetrator of domestic violence against your partner? Take this quiz and see if you have the tendency to be abusive.

Do you see yourself in Jenny's shoes? Is your partner controlling, demanding and volatile? Take this quiz to see if you are the victim of domestic violence.
