Alix Dobkin: Head Lesbian

Thursday June 22, 2006
There's a reason Alix Dobkin is known as the Head Lesbian. She is truly a trailblazer for lesbians. Back in the 1970s, Alix along with Kay Gardner, produced, sang and recorded the first album by lesbians for lesbians: Lavender Jane Loves Women. Any lesbian who saw the album in a music bin was sure to know that this was something they were going to enjoy. Since then, Alix Dobkin has crisscrossed the world singing about the lives and loves of lesbians. Learn more about Alix Dobkin: Lesbian pioneer.
