Mauresmo Wins Wimbledon

Amelie Mauresmo was all smiles after defeating Justine Henin-Hardenne 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the Wimbledon final on Saturday. Amelie Mauresmo seemed to finally relax into her game and it paid off big-time. Of winning Wimbledon, Mauresmo said, "I still can't believe it." Once and for all, she has proven that she is one of the premier tennis players in the world.
Another lesbian tennis player was also at Wimbledon. Martina Navratilova, who turns 50 in October, played doubles with partner Liezel Huber. They were eliminated in the quarterfinal round.
