L Word 408: Shane Ends Dry Spell, Kit Too
Oh no! Episode 408 begins with another Jenny dream sequence. We thought we left all those behind in Season 3. It seems her guilt about using poor Sounder is catching up with her and is causing nightmares. What about Stacey and Lindsay? Aren’t you remorseful about messing with their lives Jenny, ya wacknut!
And how about Helena scoring big at the card tables and scoring big with Catherine after. I don’t predict either of these continuing to go well. But watching Catherine kiss Helena in the casino is definitely a turn-on!
Tina is coming around again. She looks kinda hot too. Seems she misses Bette, misses their life together and misses being a lesbian. Well, duh! At least if you were going to come out as straight, Tina, you could have picked a more exciting and sensitive guy. You know, one like Angus.
Oops, not Angus. He’s in the doghouse for cheating on Kit. Kit’s angry at him, but she hasn’t confronted him yet. When would be the perfect time to do it? Yes! In the middle of her comeback CD release party. On stage. Tell him off! Okay, it is a soap opera. But then Kit retreats to her office and starts to down shots of vodka. I know, I know, they want drama, but isn’t Kit stronger than that? Being cheated on by a guy will really throw her over the edge to start drinking again? And really, would she run to Papi’s arms? Thank God Papi is gentleman enough not to take advantage of her when she was passed out drunk. But I’m afraid Papi doesn’t have Bette’s best interest in mind. She’s just a star-f**ker.
Another dry spell is broken. Shane finally gets some action with Paige. In the back seat of her car, but at least it’s something for all the Shane fans out there. The shocker comes at the end of the episode when Shay’s (and Shane’s) dad shows up. Is he here to claim Shay? How will Shane feel about that?
And is Max finally going to find love with the cute chart intern? Seems like it could happen. And will she take him back to San Francisco with her?
Alice and Tasha too, finally get it on. Yum! After fighting about the war, they finally make love. Only that’s not the language they use. Either way, it was pretty hot! Which is your favorite sex scene from this episode? Vote in the poll.

YUM is right! The whole delicious episode! While you know me to be the Shane devotee, I must say Tascha & Alice had the steamiest sex scene this episode. Although, I am very happy Shane was finally able to get some!
I do like the dynamics b/w Max & the new intern too. I was happy to see that things may be coming around for him. He hasn’t had much of a storyline, so I hope they allow him some dialogue w/substance before shipping him off if that is what happens.
Helena, Helena, Helena-tisk, tisk, tisk. I have to say that her dame is a bit odd. Can’t say I’m too fond of that whole storyline. What kind of mom would leave her kids w/a sitter to play poker? I see an addiction coming w/this one. Or is she addicted to Catherine’s way of play?….
OMG This was a hot episode. I was wanting my dry spell to end too!!! I am so upset over the whole Gabe coming back thing…Shane is finally found real love with her little bro and now her no good SOB dad comes back to ruin both of thier lives. It isn’t FAIR!!! Shane is so good with Shay.
Oh yes and I must also say ALICE you go girl!! DAMN!!

Ok so no one has talked about Jenny yet so I’ll be the first…what a bitch! I mean I know Jenny is trying to make money and has to pick the best buyer but she doesn’t have to make such catty comebacks when all Bette and Tina are trying to do is help her!
I prefer the Shane/Paige sex scene because it’s in a car and that’s kinda kinky
But Alice/Tasha were very hot together…especially when Alice kept trying to talk about the war while they were having sex and then Tasha was just like shut up…so much of an inverse role from Tasha’s usual traditionalist stance!
I am always the one who says we need more action on this show. Who knew in January that these girls were going to finally get their grooves on! I love it!! I’m back on the Shane bandwagon too and I put her back on my screensaver!! (I’m fickle, I know, lol!!!)
What was really poignant to me was Tina’s convo with Bette at the house. I am totally not a Tina fan, but speaking from the experience of being married to a man and coming out after the age of 36, I completely relate to what Tina said about missing the unspoken chemistry of being with a woman, and feeling part of something special that we don’t share with the rest of the world. I don’t know what I’d do if I had to go back to men again. I think it was a very touching moment for Bette and Tina, and I can attest to the validity of her feelings.
This is one of the beauties of having a show like this for us girls.
WOW!! So much to comment on. First, Jenny, OMG can her ego get ANY bigger?? She spoke SOOOO damn condecendingly to Bette & Tina. Guess she has forgotten that these ladies took her in, flaws and all, and made her feel like she was apart of their inner circle. Helena, sweetheart, as a mother of 3, if ANYONE ever referred to my children as “Brats” , that would be the LAST thing they ever spoke to me!! Wasn’t feeling any chemistry between Alice & Tasha and I was SO looking forward to that!! I was really digging Kit & Angus’ song, till she flipped out!! Kit & Pappi?? Not feelin’ that either!! I totally felt what Tina was saying to Bette. I’ve always felt they were destined to be together. Now, Shane in the backseat of ANY car is hot hot hot!!! Too bad, when things were going so great with her brother, good ole’ dad shows up! Is it Sunday already????
I miss the good ole love scenes with Bett and Tina when they were trying to have a baby. The ones last night were just about the sex and not about the emotion. Still I was impressed with Alice’s and Tasha’s encounter.
i agree with u Sylvia,,,, from the start of the new season its just sex no emotions,,, i thought women are diff i know that we are diff from men we should feel something for the one we are going to have sex with our emotions and feelings move us we dont think or go after the feeling between our legs all the scenes from the 1st eps just for sex for that i didnt like the scene between Alice and Tasha the 2 of them are from diff world but they just do it i dont know but i dont like the 4th season it lost it all ,,if any stright audiance will watch our show i dont think they will have a good idea about us not like the 1st season or the 3rd one,, hope it get better
I only have the first six episodes of seaso 4 but I am a lesbian because of the beatifull emotional stufff. If straigh people watch this, they will have a tainted view of what it is to be two women in love. Hope it gets better, like when shane kissed carmen in the other series.
