The military's policy of not allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the armed forces certainly has an effect on the soldiers. They are often forced to lie about their lives in order to remain in the service. But what about the children of these soldiers? What effect does Don't Ask, Don't Tell have on them? This excellent article published on Mombian shares the story of one lesbian soldier, ironically, from the gay-friendly state of Massachusetts.
