Lesbian Let Go from Grey's Anatomy
I know Grey's Anatomy is one of the most popular shows on television, but I just started watching it this year because of the sweet lesbian story line between Erica and Callie. Or as they're affectionately known "Callica."
I just found out that not only is the lesbian story going to be cut, but Brooke Smith, the actor who plays Erica, has been fired. "I was floored when they told me," Brooke said. "It was the last thing I expected. In fact, when they told me I asked, 'When is this happening?' And they said, 'The [next episode] is your last,' which is the one that airs this Thursday. So it was very sudden."
That's it, huh. They barely got their relationship going and now it's over. So, no more lesbians on prime time TV this season. Well, at least we have The L Word to look forward to in January.

I am shocked, but not surprised. The het. world is so blind to ALL love, or at least any other than there own version! They made the choice to cut it, and I will choose to not watch.
I fill the sane way
Just when you think lesbians make a small prime time break on tv…it goes to the “can”…frankly it’s insulting to the GLBT community
It’s tough to be gay these days!!! I too will not be watching after this. It’s not the first time a gay relationship has been started on primetime then suddenly stopped before fully realized. I had hoped we as a society had grown but apparently not…..
You say “Well, at least we have The L Word to look forward to in January.” Yes we do but isn’t this year the last of the L Word also? It is so sad that the human race is so blinded by ignorance. These are the people who also take the bible out of context and “try” to make it say what they want it to say. Bible belt we challenge you to start reading the bible and see which of you are so righteous that you have the power to judge or condemn God’s children because you are afraid of going against any majority. Even if they are wrong and you know they are, you are afraid to speak out against them. Instead of being a wimp, read your bible and stand up for all of God’s children, all of God’s Word, all of God’s commandments. After all, isn’t that the same society that tried to hold back the black race from having equal rights just a few decades ago? Be an individual, not a face in a crowd of millions with big mouths. Use your own hearts and minds instead of letting “the others” think and feel for you. Because when it all boils back down, you are only following the beliefs and opinions of a few people who have lots of followers with no idea what or who they are following.
I have never watched Grey’s A until my sister informed me of the “lesbian” love affair that was developing. This of course was the only reason I had recently tuned in.
Initially, it was refreshing to see and hear about a prime time show that was portraying a “love” story of 2 women, yet disappointing to hear of its demise. Consequently,I too, will NOT watch any future episodes of this show.
I like GA, but I was getting pretty sick of the business between the two main characters…”on & on & on” Well, you get the picture. I love Sandra Oh, so I’ve watched it for her, but then when the lesbian subplot occurred, I thought Wow! I’m going to make sure I TIVO the show from now on. Hets don’t seem to understand why we gays and lesbians feel shut out…especially lesbians…and most especially older lesbians (but that’s another topic). Remember how Carrie on ER had a one season focus on her coming out and accepting herself? Boom! Then she’s shoved to the background and finally out the door.
