Lesbians and Breast Cancer

Wednesday October 14, 2009

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Some studies show that lesbians are at a greater risk for getting breast cancer. The reasons are varied, but they don't have to do with sexual orientation. They have to do with risk factors. What are the specific lesbian risk factors for breast cancer and what can you do about them?

More than one celebrity has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Some have come public about their fight. Some, have used their celebrity to help the cause. No one has done more for breast cancer awareness than Melissa Etheridge. Melissa Etheridge talks about her struggle with breast cancer and her road to recovery.
