Now that voters have approved Referendum 74 in Washington State, gay and lesbian couples can start picking up marriage licenses from their county offices as early as December 6th, 2012. But because Washington has a three-day waiting period, marriages can't be certified until December 9th. Some gay and lesbian couples will line up and get married the first day it is legal.
