Yesterday, on the first day that Washington State gave out marriage licenses for same-sex couples, I met Jocelyn Guzman and Shawn Sanders. The two made a harrowing trip down from Anchorage, AK in the middle of a blizzard to be able to stand in line for the right to be married. After their Washington wedding, the two are headed to Mexico to have a celebration in Mexico City and then in Chichen Itza where they will have a traditional Mayan wedding ceremony. Here's their story.
