When Should You Come Out as Bisexual?

By Kathy Belge, About.com

Question: When Should You Come Out as Bisexual?

I'm a young adult bisexual and I just have a few questions about dating. I go to bars and stuff and chat but am never sure when to say "I'm bi." Is there a proper time to bring it up, especially if the woman thinks you are a lesbian like her?

Answer: When should you come out as bisexual? If you meet someone that you are interested in dating, you might consider coming out to her on your first date. One fun way to get to know each other on a first date is to share your coming out stories. When you tell your coming out story, you can use that opportunity to come out as bisexual.
