Whether you've just met or have been going out for a long time, everyone knows the way to keep romance alive is to continue to explore new things together while enjoying intimacy and communication. What better way to do that than to take her on a date? Here are some great ideas for Spring dates for lesbians and bisexual women.
1. Visit a Garden

2. Check out the Local Music Scene
Whether it's the pops or pop music, a crunchy folk performer or a hot dyke band, every town has a local music venue. Many towns have free weekly newspapers that list all the venues and which bands are playing. See if the band has a Myspace page. You can listen to your sound to see if you like it and also see if they have any gay or lesbian "friends."3. Visit an Aquarium or the Zoo
Visit an underwater wonderland. Check out the scary sharks, happy sea otters and majestic manatees while you whisper in her ear about the tropical paradise you hope to take her to one day. Or go to the zoo early, beat the crowds of kids and see the animals when they are most active.4. Hit the Mall
Let's face it, sometimes the weather in the Spring is iffy. But you don't just want to stay at home. Instead, take your date to the mall. You can shop for new summer wardrobe, have a smoothie and challenge each other at the arcade. You can turn the mall into an all-day date by eating in the food court and catching a movie after. You'll never know it's rainy and miserable outside.5. Visit a Street Fair or Arts Festival
Earth Day. Italian Festival. Cinco de Mayo. Crafts Festivals and Art Fairs. Browse the booths, take in the free entertainment, eat some great food and buy each other friendship bracelets. Check your paper or
community web site for a festival in your area.
6. Partake in a Charity Walk or Run
AIDS, diabetes, M.S., school funding, breast cancer. It seems like every weekend there's a different charity walk raising money for some worthwhile cause. Walking and talking is a great way to get to know one another, get in shape and help a local charity all at the same time.
Volkssport events are also a good way to join an organized walk and get to know your community a little better.
7. Go to a Work-Out Class Together
If you're both trying to take charge of your health and get into an exercise routine, why not take a kick-boxing, yoga or pilates class together? Afterward you can reward yourselves with a healthy lunch and lament about your sore muscles together.8. Visit a Museum
Who isn't inspired by good art? Talk about which pieces you would like to see in your home or what emotions or memories others invoke. And art museums aren't the only kind --learn a bit about your area by visiting a historical museum.9. Shop at Farmer's Market
Buy some fresh salad fixings and then head home to make a healthy meal. Or, if you can't resist, grab a sausage sandwich and fresh-baked pie for desert.10. Go Garage-Saleing
Not the same as boat sailing. How fun is it to drive around town and see what stuff other people are getting rid of? Buy her a pair of costume earrings or a stool for her kitchen. Have fun trying on clothes you would never wear and pick up a stack of paperback novels for cheap.
