1. Hit the Beach
Whether it's the nude beaches of Provincetown or the local swimming hole, going to the beach in the summer is a must! Walk with your sweetie hand in hand, splash around in the waves and if no one is around, take your suits off and skinny dip after dark.2. Take in a Sporting Event
Whether it's AAA baseball or a local dyke softball game, summer is the time to be outdoors and cheering for your home team. If you're lucky enough to live in a city with a WNBA team, surprise her with court-side seats. Feeling adventurous? Check out something new, like roller derby, (you won't be the only lesbians there) downhill mountain bike racing or a skateboard jam.3. Picnic
Pack up a basket of goodies and head to the local rose garden, county park or riverside recreation area. Impress her with your cooking skills, or simply stop by the super market deli for tasty cheeses, crackers, olives, water melon and other fun finger foods.4. See an Outdoor Concert
Check with your local Parks & Recreations department for free outdoor concerts in the parks, or head out to one of the big weekend festivals. There's nothing better than seeing a great show outdoors on a summer night. Well, the only thing better is if it's a Lesbian Performer.5. Take a bike ride
Or do something active like roller blade, play tennis or shoot a few hoops. After working off those calories, reward yourselves with a soft-serve ice cream cone. With sprinkles, of course.6. Visit an Outdoor Cafe
Try and reserve a table near the sidewalk so you can watch the people go by. Enjoy each other and people watching over a slow glass of wine. Try go guess which people walking by are gay, lesbian or bisexual.7. Visit the State Fair
Or fireman's field days, or any other outdoor festival. It usually a good excuse to eat greasy food, drink beer, test your nerves on the rides and win her a stuffed bunny for her collection.8. Go Camping
Okay, you get the theme here, the best way to enjoy summer is to get outside and what better way to do that than to spend a night in the great outdoors. Whether you backpack in five miles or car camp at a state park, be sure to bring marshmellows and chocolate to make s'mores.9. Go to a Drive-In Movie
I do know that there aren't many drive-ins left, but some cities are hosting summer roof-top movies or movies in the parks. You can't honk at the screen, but you can hold hands under the blanket.Or, some summer nights are just too hot to think, let alone plan a romantic evening. So, beat the heat and head to the coolest place in town, the air conditioned metroplex and catch a light indoor movie.
