Bold Strokes Books
*Full Disclosure* Diane Anderson-Minshall is an editor at Curve magazine where I write a monthly column.

Jacob is the out female-to-male transsexual author of the syndicated column "TransNation." Diane and Jacob co-founded Girlfriends magazine in 1994, one of the first national lesbian magazines in the U.S. This is their first book.

Queer to the Core - Blind Curves

The L Word, it's not. Blind Curves is filled with a diverse cast of true-to-life lesbian characters. Shy butches, sexy femmes, closeted movie stars and dykes with disabilities, almost any lesbian can see herself or people she knows in the pages of this book.

Lesbian magazine publisher Rosemary Finney is found murdered on a remote hiking trail. Rosemary's rival, sexy journalist Velvet Erickson is promptly charged with her murder and the case is closed. Or is it?

Twists, Turns and Lesbian Drama

Velvet is released on bail and she and ex-lover, private detective Yoshi Yakamota have 48 hours to prove her innocence and find the real killer. But Rosemary Finney has so many enemies, how will they ever narrow it down?

Enter a great cast of lesbian characters with drama to spare. Therapists, editorial interns, lovers and even movie stars are all suspect. Was Rosemary killed for her money? By a jealous lover? A disgruntled employee? Or just someone she pissed off with her arrogant ways?

Who Killed Rosemary Finney?

My one criticism is that I figured out who the killer was (or at least I thought I did) about 2/3 of the way through the book. But there were enough other open story lines to keep me reading. Will AJ and Yoshi get together? What is this tape Bud is trying to find? Will Tucker reveal who her true love is?

Fans of lesbian murder mystery will love this book. It's a great summer read and the first in a series. I look forward to more Blind Eye mysteries.
