The L Word: Season Two
TV's hottest Lesbian Drama

By , About.com Guide

Katherine Moennig as Shane: The L WordShowtime
Season two of The L Word begins February 20th, 2005. What should you expect from TV’s hottest lesbian drama? Well, for starters, lots more drama and lots more sex.

L Word, season one left us longing for more with lots of dangling story lines. What will happen with Bette and Tina? Will Bette and Candace remain lovers? How about that kiss between Dana and Alice? Are they going to be a couple in season two? And then there’s the whole Jenny/Marina saga. We know Marina will not be back for season two, so how are they going to resolve it? And will Shane remain a playgirl or will she finally let love into her life?

More Shane, Alice and Dana

This season we will see more from three of the most popular characters: Shane (Katherine Moennig), Alice (Leisha Hailey) and Dana (Erin Daniels). Expect to see each of these ladies blossom in the second season.

And we’ll have some new characters in season two of The L Word. Sexy Sara Shahi plays Carmen, a hot girl D.J. with interest in more than one of the women. Rachel Shelley appears a Helena, daughter of art mogul Peggy Peabody.

Of course Bette (Jennifer Beals) and Tina (Laurel Holloman) will be back, albeit, broken-up. Kelly Lynch returns as drag King Ivan with an interest in Kit (Pam Grier).

Like last year, some big-name stars will make cameo appearances on season two of The L Word. Sandra Bernhard will play Jenny’s writing teacher (and more?). Arianna Huffington will become Shane’s client (and more?) and guitarist Sharon Isbin plays the Planet(and who else?)

L Word producers acknowledge they felt some pressure to live up to the standard set by season one. But they do promise all of the things you came to love The L Word for: more sex scenes, increasing drama and characters we come to care about.

Tune in February 20th and check out the Season 2 teasers on Showtime.com.
