Sandra Bernhard makes her first appearance as Jenny’s writing teacher. She’s all bitchy and dykey and she does NOT like Jenny. She says her writing is crap. Well, we could have told her that! Jenny is trying desperately trying to get into her writing class. Hmm… Maybe Jenny would be happier with a teacher who actually likes her and her writing.
Shane, Shane, Shane
Shane pays a visit to Carmen at work and Kit pays a visit to Ivan at his cabin to ask for money to front her taking over the Planet from Marina’s father. Can Ivan recover from Kit seeing her naked? Can I recover? Oow, Kelly Lynch is hot!
Shane got in trouble last week at her job for screwing Carmen and she seems intent on serving Carmen the same fate by taking her into another sound booth and making out with her while she’s working. Shane apologizes for her rude behavior last week, and the two try to make a date.
Tonya shows her humanity by sharing her story with Dana’s parents. Or is it just a manipulative lie to get Dana’s parents to like her? Either way, they all end up in a big family group hug. It’s all so PFLAG.
The conflict between Alice and Bette heats up when Bette pays a visit to Alice at her apartment. We learn that Alice and Bette had a thing years ago. Apparently Bette was kinda cruel in that break-up too. But give her a break. They were only together for a few months!
Robin & Jenny
Robin takes Jenny to meet her friends. They’re all married with kids. Her friends try to make the relationship more than what it is. Jenny makes it clear that’s not what she wants. Why does Jenny wear the most hideous dumpy clothing? No matter, Robin is crazy for her, but Jenny isn’t ready for a relationship. She breaks it off with Robin. Is this the last we’ll see of Robin? I hope not.
Marina resurfaces
Bette & Kit wait to meet Marina’s daddy. It’s funny how last season’s most popular character has managed to stay in the script, even though Karina Lombard has exited the cast. So, we have more to learn about Mysterious Marina. Who is this prissy pretentious fellow? And what? He's not her daddy? He’s her husband! Oh, there's got to be more to this story...
Finally a scene with Alice & Dana. They have coffee with the new rules. No, Tonya doesn’t know they’re meeting and Tonya also doesn’t know how hard it is for Alice and Dana to keep their hands off each other. But she almost finds out! They’re in the bathroom about to kiss when Tonya walks in. Whew! That was close! I’m almost as excited to see Tonya’s reaction as I am to see Dana and Alice get together. Yum.
The show ends with Jenny, Bette and Shane all sharing a drink and cut to Kit, proud new owner of The Planet.
