Heres a recap of episode three of The L Word, Loneliest Number.
The show begins with Alice having a great nightmare with Tonya. Lets just say, Someones hungry. And leave it at that.
Bette & Tina at the Lawyer
Bette and Tina meet with their respective lawyers. Bette gets on her knees and begs Tina to come back. But Tinas lawyer wants no part of that. No, she has other plans. She asks Tina to move into her guesthouse. She calls Tina a good girl while she fondles her hands. I think were starting to see through this lawyers intentions She wants to control Tina while telling her Bette is too controlling.
Poor Bette, shes so upset that after the meeting she runs a red light and rams an SUV. The other driver is pissed. Bette starts to crack. She takes it all out on the poor man, grabbing his shirt and swearing at him, calling him all kinds of names. You go Bette!
The Re-opening of the Planet
Kit is working on getting the club ready for opening night. Shes lined up a great jazz quartet. Alice breaks it to her she needs to cater to her lesbian audience. Why not get Pink to play? Alice is convinced she can find a lesbian who knows a lesbian who knows Pink. Believe in the power of the lesbian phone tree, she says. The more realistic Shane offers up her DJ friend, Carmen.
Jenny Goes Back to School
Jenny pays a visit to writing teacher from Hell, Charlotte Birch, played so well by Sandra Bernhard. Jenny needs to know why she didnt get into her class? I knew it! It was the schoolgirl outfit! Teacher Birch hates Jennys clothes as much as I do. Oh, that and plus she isnt writing real fiction. Shes journaling. Jenny, being the good schoolgirl, goes home and rewrites her story. She changes her outfit and styles her hair. Teacher likes it this time. Better Indeed, she writes on the page. Jenny is IN the prestigious writing class. Teacher has her work cut out for her.
Tina Move Into the Guesthouse
Tina moves into the guesthouse, wearing yet another poncho to hide her pregnancy from Alice.
Bette is really starting to Lose it
Bette shows up at the Planet and Kit is stressing out about opening night. Bette complains that Tina is taking legal action against her and she smashed her car. Kit realizes Bettes problems trump her problems and she steps up to the plate, ordering food for them both. Its nice to see Kit starting to take responsibility.
