Calendars make great gifts. Or you might want to check out one of these great 2010 lesbian calendars for yourself.
1. Renee Jacobs Provocateur Calendar 2010
Renee Jacobs is the quintessential female nude photographer. Every year she produces a beautiful Provocateur calendar with 12 different nude woman or couples to get you through the year. I like this year's calendar because it features more ethnic diversity and different body types. There's the expected women in the shower shot, but also some beautiful images of women together in sexy and intimate poses. If you appreciate femmes and feminine body, this calendar is for you. NOT for the office, though.
2. It’s All Butch 2010
Now I know some of you are more into a butchy-type gal and I'm happy to say, Debbie Boud has made a calendar with your tastes in mind. Another talented photographer, Bond's calendar shows that female beauty can be strong, work hard and woo you with deep blue eyes or a note on the guitar. There's the soft butch musician, pierced and tattooed chick, a body builder and firefighter. She's even added key gay pride dates to the calendar for you.
The one thing I don't like about this calendar is that on the bottom of very page is an advertisement, which kind of reminds me of the free calendar I get from my credit union.
3. Hot Mormon Muffins
Twelve hot Mormon moms. Twelve great muffin recipes. What more is there to say?
4. Wild Words from Wild Women
For the girl who loves celebrities and loves words, the Wild Words from Wild Women Calendar 2010 is the perfect gift. With quotes from Tina Fey like, "I like to crack the jokes now and again, but it's only because I struggle with math." Each day has a new quote from women athletes, entertainers, politicians and other famous women. Dara Torres says, "The water doesn't know what age you are when you jump in, so why not?"
5. We’Moon 2010
The We'Moon calendar has made the list once again this year, because quite frankly, there's nothing else like it. With beautiful artwork from around the World, the We'Moon calendar or datebook is a great place to track your menstrual cycle, the phases of the moon and your astrological forecast. For the goddess lover, pagan or earth mama on your list, the We'Moon calendar can't be beat.
6. Invincible Summer 2010 Calendar Queer Animal Odyssey
Nicole Georges has made this really sweet calendar with illustrations of queer animals. There's drawings of sharks, koalas, ostrich, a cheetah, some dogs, a scuba diver, some horse women, and more. All creatures featured (besides the shark) are among the 1500 species with documented homosexuality in their ranks. What a great gift for your homophobic family member who insists gays are "unnatural."
7. Amazon Dragons Paddling Club 2010 Calendar
Dragon boating is an ancient sport. Lesbians have been around forever too. Combine the two and you have the Amazon Dragons Paddling Club from Portland, Oregon. The Amazon Dragons actually started as part of a lesbian visibility project in 1992, to show the world that lesbians were just as normal as everyone else.
This 2010 calendar features sexy, strong and half-clad women engaged in their sport, lounging naked in a boat and inexplicably, riding a motorcycle. Paddles, life vests and medals cover skillfully cover private parts. And best of all, this calendar is a fundraiser for the team.
