Cheril & Monica's Lesbian Wedding

Cheril and Monica met in the fall of 2003 at a the 29th anniversary celebration for African Ancestral Lesbians United for Societal Change. Cheril was at the event doing spoken word poetry as a part of the evening's entertainment and Monica had just come in by chance. After Cheril's performance, she went around to gather e-mail addresses for her mailing list and put a star next to Monica's name because she thought she was attractive and wanted remember who she was. Cheril didn't know that Monica saw the notation. Even though they didn't exchange contact information for the sake of going on a date, after a few e-mails back and forth Monica asked Cheril out to dinner and the rest, as they say, is history. :)
