The only bad thing about it is, she is straight. We tell each other I love you and things like that all the time. That’s just my friends. We let each other know, hug and all. I just have these feelings for this girl and I really like her. I mean, some songs even remind me of her. I just don't really know what to do. And I do not know if you have any advice for that or not.
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to do this. Whenever you tell someone you like her, you take a risk. No matter if you are gay or straight, telling someone you like them makes you vulnerable.
You say she’s straight. And she may be. Or she may just not know yet. You’ve given me no indication that she might be a lesbian or bisexual, but there’s a saying made famous on The L Word, “Everyone is straight, until they’re not.”
So, if you want to tell your friend how you feel, you could get a great answer-- she likes you too. Or maybe she'll freak out and not want to be friends anymore. Or maybe, she'll say, that's sweet, but I don't feel the same way.
You have to ask yourself, what do you want out of telling her? Is it worth the risk of losing her as a friend? There is no easy answer. Either take a big risk, or live with things the way they are. It’s up to you.
