How did you come out to your parents?
I was in foster care for 13 years and had 3 foster families.
The worst one was my 2nd foster care and when I was 16 I told my foster mother face to face and sitting in the living room alone with her and then getting her reply was very upsetting.
What did you say?
I told my foster mother exactly like this: "Mom, I am bi-sexual." She then looked shocked and her reply was this: "Don't be stupid Sarah, you don't even know the meaning of the word bi-sexual." (As a matter of fact I do know other wise I wouldn't b telling her.) I wanted to punch her lights out and tell it to her face that she's wrong about me.
After a few weeks, she spoke to me and said this: "Look, I know that you said you're bi-sexual, I just want to let you know the meaning and how stupid you are for telling me something that you're not." I wanted to punch her again and before she told me the meaning of the word I said: "Look, the word bi-sexual means that I like both sexes, men and women." And then she said it didn't mean that. I do know what it means. And I told her to stuff it. I was very upset and since then she hasn't spoken to me at all.
- I don't know what to say. I can't really advice anyone can i?
