How did you come out to your parents?
Well my sister tried to tell them, but they just blew it off. But then my girlfriend got in a fight with her mom and walked to my house. I was grounded and my mom was at work so we played Guitar Hero and talked, but when my mom got home she came upstairs and walked in my room(she normally knocked). When she saw her she just went to her room, so we just stayed in my room for a few more minutes then I went in and told Mom about what happened with their fight and why she came to my house and my mom said she didn't care that I was gay but she was just mad because I was grounded and my girlfriend was in the house.
What did you say?
Well my mom wasn't mad that I was gay she was really happy for me, but she ended up calling my girlfriend's mom and they worked things out. So my mom and me drove her home, then on the way home she told me she wouldn't have cared but since I was grounded she had to take her home. I was afraid to tell my grandma because she is real old fashioned, so I thought she would disclaim me but it turns out she already knew and she is happy for me as long as I don't rub it in her face. My dad said the same and my brother told me that he feels proud to have a lesbian sister haha
Advice
- Don't be afraid to show who you really are
- Be true to your self
- If you think you will get disclaimed then bring up gay marriage and find out how they feel about it and go from there
