How did you come out to your parents?
Senior year of high school my parents and I went to a performing arts festival and we took two of my friends with me, one of which was a girl I was kind of in love with. My friend had no idea, but is a very touchy person (who is bi as well). when we got home, my parents confronted me.
They began by telling me how much they loved me, and would always love and accept me. then there was this pause, so I announce "well, I'm not gay." and my mom immediately responds "are you bi?" "yes".
What did you say?
I had no intention of telling my parents unless I got really seriously involved with a girl. things are good. I was especially worried because they both grew up in catholic schools all their lives... but they do accept me, and I feel like I can tell them things.
Advice
- It was nice to tell them and have a good reaction, just do it!!!!!
