How we fell in love
I was just 15 and a freshman in High School. I had one "lesbian" experience when I was in Middle School, but I was so scared crapless that I just overlooked it and stayed straight. I was always the "rocker/metal chick" in High School, so me and Robb (my girlfriend's brother) instantly became good friends since we had so much in common with our music interests. All our friends were always telling us, you two should get together! It seemed like the right thing to do at the time. He was a great nice guy, we had so much in common, he asked me and I said yes. Me and him would talk constantly on the phone about music, when one day he told me he had a sister (Christina) and that she was a year older than him. I had never met her, but then one night me and him was on the phone and she took the phone from him and me and her started talking. We had nothing in common at all, she was the girl that liked rap and I liked rock, she was preppy, I was a goth. Two total opposites. But to me she seemed pretty cool so we kept talking. Me and her brother broke up, because I told him that I was gay and I couldn't be with a guy anymore. He took it fine, told me he could tell. Me and Christina still talked ALL the time on the phone. We'd be so tired at school the next day cuz we would stay up hours into the night talking on the phone. She never knew I was a lesbian yet, no one really did except her brother. So then one day I decided to tell her. She took it totally fine, she said that that wouldn't change how she thought of me.
Me and her were best friends for years, I had never seen her that way at the time. She dated guys I dated girls. That's how it was.
We were best friends for about 6 years, when I had decided I wanted to be single a while, she felt the same way. We started seeing each other every day, hangin out. When one day I just looked at her, and she looked so different all of a sudden. I started noticing how beautiful and attractive she had become growing up! I felt that way for a while, little did I know she did the same way. We never talked about it at the time, when one day I decided to hold her hand while we were walking, and she smiled and we went on. We decided to get together and we have been madly in love ever since then... ahh if only I knew the love of my life was right in front of me for so many years!
Advice
- Don't go searching for love, you never know when it's going to come, but be glad when it does and cherish every moment you have =]
- Don't rush into things either... when me and my love decided to get together we decided to take things super slow, and we have been together a long time since. =]
- Again... cherish every moment and thank them for how much they do for you, =]
