Where I met my partner?
I saw Mary on OurChart (goodness we miss that website). I thought she looked cute and I sent her a message that said something like, "Hey, I'm new to the area and looking for friends." She wrote back. I gave her my AOL screen name, and we spent 5 hours that night talking on AIM. We talked online for two weeks, (long conversations about everything until the wee hours of the morning). She told me that she knew she was gay, but that she'd never been with another woman yet. I finally gave her my number and told her to call me one night.
How we fell in love
She was driving the next day to see her parents...and it took her awhile, but she finally called. We were both crazy nervous but it was totally worth it.
We gradually got more comfortable talking on the phone for a few days, and then one day she mentioned that she was going her beach house (which was near my house), with some friends from high school. I said, "Oh, that sounds fun." The conversation ended. And then she sent me a text, "Do you want to go to the beach house with me?" My heart leaped. I was so excited. I sent her a text back, "YES".
We spent the weekend at her beach house with her friends, and I'm sad to say that we didn't even kiss. But on the last morning, she reached on my thigh and did tiny little circles. My leg felt like it was on fire. It was so amazing that such a little touch could have such a huge effect on my body. I knew immediately that I loved her touch, and that I would be crazy about her. Just as I was about to take it further- her phone rang- and the circles stopped. Later that day after we went home, she send me a text that said something like, "I'm nervous, I don't know if I'm ready for this yet." My heart was broken. I thought, "Oh well, at least maybe I made a friend."
But to my surprise, she asked me to go to her beach house with her again the following weekend. Alone.
I won't go into all of the details, but it was the best sex either one of us had ever had. It was so soft, so sweet, yet so passionate. After, we went to my place and made breakfast together.
Later that day after she left she sent me a text that said, "Yup, I'm gay."
That was almost two years ago, and Mary and I have been through a lot. I lost my sister in February to a car accident, and she was right there to help me through the most difficult time of my life. She is so patient, so kind, so beautiful- I don't know how I got so lucky, or what I would do without her.
