Where I met my partner?
We met at college during our second year of studying.
How we fell in love
This is a tale and a half but all true...My parents had decided to move to another province and I had to complete my high school years at a different school but as soon as I completed it I moved back to the previous province I grew up in. I met her during my second year at college, she captured me with her dress code and how different she was. I had a boyfriend at the time and thought she was giving mixed signals and wasn't 100% sure that she's gay.
One day after college when I'd gone home and was at the local shop in my area I saw her approaching, now this was strange to me for two reasons 1: In all my years of studying I've never lived anywhere close to my classmates and 2: Out of all the people I could bump into she had to be the one.
We got to briefly speak as we hardly spoke at college but I always thought she liked me regardless. lol. I found out that she'd just moved into my area the previous weekend and she asked to come for coffee sometime which I obliged to.
Finally it happened the day we bumped into each other again where we now both lived, she asked to come over for that coffee and I agreed and we walked together to my place. We hung out chatted and all through that we connected and I still sensed there was more. Weeks after our friendship began, we hung out all the time, always excited to see each other and she would flirt with me and even went to the extent of telling me she loved me.
I was in denial of my feelings for a while but as I got to know her I got to know that we shared a name, we had studied the same course at college, our student numbers even followed each other, at some point we had gone to the same primary school but didn't know each other of course and also because she is 3 years older than me. She also happened to visit the area I had stayed with my parents before we moved and once or twice came to the store my dad owned.
The weirdest part is that it seems through out our lives we've been so close but yet at the same time so far, I had to come all the way back to where I was born just to find her, that's the day I started believing in fate.
Eventually I told her I loved her and am proud to say this year is our 5 year anniversary together..still learning about each other, taking baby steps together...
My very first and last girlfriend ever.
