Asking someone out can be one of the hardest things for lesbian and bi women. Especially if you don't know the sexual orientation of the person you are interested in. What are ways you have asked someone out. Or how as someone asked you out? Share Your Experience

overcoming fears of asking out...

what a terrific question... while i was in university, i was reading some text on how to help a man who was extremely lonely and wanted to be in a relationship with a woman... his therapist challenged him to ask out 100 women in 30 days... so the terrified dude had to find creative ways to ask women out... i took this challenge on myself, but i changed it to ask out 30 women in 30 days... it had nothing to do with her response, it was about overcoming my fears and to my delight, it became a bit of a game... i would find the courage to ask a fine lady out in the supermarket, at a bus stop, after a self help meeting, on campus, off campus, anywhere i could by date # 6 i knew this one was pretty special and it developed into a relationship... so i stopped asking out other women and focused on her good luck ladies

first kiss

The second time I ever saw my soon to be wife, we were sitting in my kithcen having a couple of beers, a mutual friend that didn't know we were gay had introduced us a couple of days prior to this day, anyways, I just looked at her and said," I want to kiss you so bad". She responded with "kiss me then". We have been together going on 5yrs now.

I Asked her to a Movie

There was a girl I had seen around and we became friends on Facebook. I posted that I was going to a documentary film and she told me that she liked documentaries. So I sent her a private message and asked her to go to an upcoming documentary film festival with me.
