Lessons from a Dead Girl by Jo Knowles

I don't know if you'd consider it a lesbian book. But this one deals with teen abuse and sexuality confusion and lots of intense emotions that occur more often than a lot of people realize. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend it, although its a young adult novel.

Walk Like a Man by Laurinda Brown

This book of short stories (which is now a play) delves into the lives, loves, & losses of everyday life- in & out of bed. Simplistically complex, the authors' verbal imagery brings out your inner voyuer as you come into the scene of the parlor, car, or office as a fly on the wall, so to speak. Oh the things you find out...

And Playing the Role of Herself

I've read so many lesbian novels in the past few years and this one--And Playing the Role of Herself by K.E. Lane-- is definitely my favorite. Every few months I have to pull it off the shelf and read it again. It'll keep you laughing, on the edge of your seat, and at times moved to tears. It's an awesome read, and one that you shouldn't miss!!

fave book

If you are a fan of lesbian pirates and I must say as of late, this femme has been, I have read a couple. I wish I could get the whole title of this book right but it is by Colette Moody and it is something along the lines of the The Original and Spirited Voyage of original Sin. I also enjoyed " A Pirate's Heart " by Catherine Friend, Branded Ann and The Sea Hawk by Brenda Adcock. Enjoy....

Favorite Lesbian Book

My very favorite so far is Keeping You a Secret by Julie Anne Peters. This book hit home for me in a lot of ways. I highly recommend it to everyone even though it is a teen read. My daughter is the one that loaned it to me. I want to get everything that Ms. Peters writes.

Rubyfruit Jungle- Rita Mae Brown

This is a great book about an ambitious and brave lesbian set in the late 50's early 60's.

The sublime and spirited voyage

The whole title is The sublime and Spirited Voyage of Original Sin by Colette Moody. This is her first novel and it is about female, butch pirates. I am not sure if anyone else has noticed but there seems to be a trend towards that genre of late and for this femme is is great. check out Branded Ann ( can't remember the author) The Sea Hawk by Brenda Adcock; A Pirates Heart by Catherine Friend. Thanks Tish

Heaven's Hell by E.A.Gray

Imagine Heaven and Hell are run by gorgeous women (Elle and Lucy). Now imagine that these two places are in a modern day setting of the drugery of office life that we try so hard to escape. Sprinkle over some betrayal, romance, humour, tragedy and a doozy of an ending and you are left with the final product - Heaven's Hell. It's a big book charting the ups and downs of a miriade of fully realised characters; the plot is complex, enthralling and compelling. It's big enough to last you a whole week on the beach.

Purple Panties by Zane

This book consist of hot lesbian short stories that will make anyones head spin.

Choices by Skyy

This book and its sequel, Consequences, delve into the lives of four college women at a historically Black college. The story main character, Denise, is complex and wonderful. Lena, Denise's roommate, is the IT girl and is dating the biggest hoops star on campus. Along with Carmen, their insecure friend who just lost weight, and Cooley, the unstoppable urban stud, Skyy's story of curiosity and the joys and pains of relationship will keep the pages turning.
