Not Your Typical Lesbian Read - Grow Up

There comes a point in every lesbian's life when she gets sick of reading badly written lesbian books with formulaic plots. I reached this point years ago, so when I picked up ROSE'S WILL, by Denise DeSio, it was with great trepidation. And then...I was blown away. DeSio gives equal time to 3 main characters, Glory: a lesbian, her brother Ricky: a blue-collar family man, and a Holocaust survivor. Glory is one of the most unique lesbian characters ever drawn. The abuse she suffered as a child has made her strong and determined to live her life any damn way she pleases with no apologies to anyone. Ironically, it's her straight brother who lives his life in a different kind of closet, afraid to speak his mind to his controlling abusive manipulating mother, Rose. How refreshing! I couldn't put this book down. The 3rd character, Eli, who loves Rose unconditionally, narrates the book with quality commentary and wise observations, bringing this book to a surprising conclusion. BUY IT!

This classic by Radclyffe is perfect. Drama, mystery, love found, love nearly lost, and then love celebrated.

Rose's Will by Denise DeSio

Great Lesbian eBook for only $4.99. AMAZON reviews tell it better than I can. http://www.amazon.com/Roses-Will-ebook/product-reviews/B005RU3LRC/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1 but I'll try. This is one of those books that you can't put down. I read it on my computer so that should tell you something right there. There are so many themes to explore in this novel: morality, authenticity, love, greed, the Holocaust, 9/11, dysfunctional families, death, atheism... all told with such humor, emotion, and clarity. The 3 main characters who tell us this story are: a lesbian atheist, a Bulgarian Jew, and a blue collar family man, all connected to each other by Rose, a small-minded, ignorant woman. It's an easy read but a hard book to explain. You can read the first 3 chapters free on Amazon and I guarantee that you will end up buying it. Trust me.

favorite books

All of Ali Vali's books are great. Carly's Sound, Blue skies, calling the dead, deal with the devil, the devil inside, devil be damned, and devil unleashed are all fantastic books and I have not read Balance of forces: toujours ici but know it will be just as good if not greater.

Keeping You A Secret

This book is amazing, my girlfriend had me read this and I couldn't put it down after I read the first chapter. She was amazed that I was able to finish it in record time. It was just that good. It reminds me so much of how our relationship is. We have to keep it a secret because her parents and my mom don't like us being together, including the fact that we're lesbians. Amazing book though, I recommend this to anybody with a taste for good lesbian fiction

Great Lesbian Books - A Woman of Heart

A Woman of Heart by Marcy Alancraig is a superb story about Jewish chicken farmers in 1920's and contemporary Petaluma, in Northern California. The primary characters Shoshoana and her grandmother, Rheabie are gay and bi-sexual. This is a superb story.

In Bed With Lesbians by Lez Lee

This is a great book that combines lesbian culture with erotica. All the stories are based on a real lesbian couple and what happens in their bed. It's well written with interesting stories. I recommend it to all!
