Funniest Protest Signs of 2009

Ellen is Sad

I thought this sign, "You're Making Ellen Sad" was hysterical when I saw it. Although it didn't make the list of the Top 40 Funny Protest Signs of 2009, it would have been on my list. Well, I guess that photo was taken in 2008, at the Prop 8 protests, so it couldn't have made the list anyway.

But we gays do have a good sense of humor. That's why so many of the signs on this list are from the LGBT community.

That is beautiful!

I do think that out celebrities help our cause. Someone that may have had a closed mind begins to watch Ellen and fall in love with her (I mean who can’t?) and then begins to think “hmm, if gay people are ‘normal’ just like her, then they are good people!” I especially when she talks about her and Portia’s marriage; which is a marriage just like anyone else’s.

Those signs are interesting. Makes you wonder what’s going on inside a persons head.

Just goes to prove that most people against our equality are just plain ignorant! Just to add to the humor…my bumper sticker says, “If a child needs a mother and a father, then outlaw divorce!”. Hummm….

I agree. Divorse reates are over 55% of male/female marriages end in divorse so the ‘innies’ with the ‘outies’ (if you know what I mean) aren’t doing so hot so give the ‘innies’/'innies’ and ‘outies’/'outies’ a chance! I hate it when people consider lesbians and gays “disabled”. If the “traditional” marriages are so important then ban divorse! Protect that traditional marriage by all means!

Your proudly lesbian friend,
Shalena
