One of the most touching things this morning when I went up to Vancouver, Washington to witness the gay and lesbian couples lined up to get marriage licenses was seeing all the people who came out to support. Volunteers from local churches set up tables to serve coffee and pastries, a harp player serenaded the couples and a photographer took pictures of the couples as they left with their marriage licenses. On my way out, I met Patricia Lee. Patricia is a straight 82-year-old woman who lives in the neighborhood and she was so excited about same-sex marriage becoming legal, she had to come over to show her support. Patricia and I chatted for a moment and she told me why she felt the need to come out and show her support.

What a touching picture and story. That is a novel way to get support.
That was very touching.
Aww, that is so awesome! We need more supporters like this sweet lady. And the only way we can do that is by supporting them. Loving people is the way to go; you get love back that way. <3
