How did you come out to your parents?
Id been in a relationship for over 6 months before my parents found out, I remember them asking me over and over was there anything going on as me and my girl where always together did everything together. I was 6 months into my relationship and me and my girlfriend had been out one night drinking in town, i remember getting back to mine and my mum was up, my girlfriend had way too much to drink and we got talking about life with my mum, prop something you shouldn't do when you have been drinking, but out the blue my girlfriend just came out and told my mum how much she was in love with me and wanted to be with me.
What did you say?
My mum was shocked and didn't know what to say i couldn't say anything as my girlfriend had said it all. My mum was very taken back by this but i suppose you kinda would be when a another girl tells you shes in love with her daughter. This put so much stress on my relationship with both my girlfriend and mum. It took a lot of time to build the trust up and took along time for my mum to accept who i am, she was never at all nasty or funny with me just shocked. My dad never has and never did accept who i was even when he died i new he never liked his only daughter being gay but i couldnt help who i am.I tried so hard to get him to understand mylife but he was set in his ways and not even i could change his mind, dont get me wrong he was nice to my girlfriend but never called her my partner or girlfriend it was always "friend"

- I wish i had taken the time to sit my mum down and told her myself, told her my feelings and told her who i am, its was obs she said i had good looking lads after me but i just wasn't interested i was always with my gay friends always in the gay pubs and being myself, i just wish i had given my mum the respect she should of been given and for me to of told her, But now things are really well my mum treats my girlfriend as her second daughter and we are all really close. Things have turned out really well my mums proud of me for who i am and loves the fact that my girlfriend and are, are girly lesbians.
